Stetson's Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience is conducting the study to help septic systems work better, under a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
 
The goal is to test a product called BioMaze® to see if it helps lower nitrogen in septic tanks. Too much nitrogen can get into the ground and nearby water like lakes and rivers, causing algae to grow too fast and cause fish kills.
 
We hope to see you on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center, 2636 Alhambra Ave. in DeLand 32720, to share more information and answer your questions!
